We're BACK AT IT after the 2+-year hiatus experienced by pretty much every touring music-maker on the planet (not to mention everyone else!). This said, I'll be cutting back on my fall live performances to focus on songwriting and my choral work...but the summer of 2023 promises some fun as my Band of Local Honeys and I continue to reconnect with all of you and each other. We love playing interesting venues and this season charms us with a few. It's the official Second Summer of Love (or Music= same thing to me).

Luna Homestead, 689 Sager Rd, Hamilton ON

An all-day event at the beautiful Luna Homestead Farm outside Hamilton, featuring yoga classes, lunch, and a vendor market. We share the bill with The Three Avacados and Their Bluegrass Pickers. Sommelier Chris Marcucci and Musician Abby Zotz - themselves a dynamic duo - join forces for this two-part event. Chris kicks the evening off with wine and food tastings that reveal the basics in pairing to help you get the most out of your meal from start to finish. Abby and her band of Local Honeys, along with very special guest, Bryan Williston, follow with a set of songs matched to one another by theme, tone or performance configuration - there may even be a band-audience pair-up or two in the mix - that will send you home cozy and satisfied.

ABOUT your Sommelier for the Evening: Chris has his sommelier certification from the Canadian Association of Sommelier Professionals and has been conducting wine tastings throughout the GTA for the past 10 years. He interned at Barberian’s Steak House in Toronto, has worked at the LCBO and assisted at Norman Hardie Winery and Vineyard in Prince Edward County. Chris’s other great passion is eco-friendly farming which he practises year-round at Cedar Hedge Farm, his off-the-grid herbicide and pesticide free property north of Port Hope ON, where he specializes in eggs, micro greens and unique and unusual heritage vegetables and fruit. LINK: http://www.cedarhedgefarm.ca Please note: If you are vegetarian and/or have serious food considerations (i.e. allergies, conditions) please tell Pam when you register. We will provide a full ingredient list for each food listed and will speak/educate to various alternatives.

ABOUT your Musician for the Evening: Abby is an award winning singer-songwriter, music collaborator, arts educator and director of three Shout Sister! choirs. Her 2018 solo release Local Honey - an uplifting melange of originals in her unique folk-pop style with hints of blues, country and jazz - met with widespread critical acclaim and garnered her the LA Critics’ Best International Artist award. Abby is joined by her band of Local Honeys, including Chris and Joel Saunders on guitars and bass, Anne Gingras on vocals and very special guest and co-writer Bryan Williston. “Teems with immense soulfulness.” -No Depression Magazine
